01 / Understand

The challenge

An engagement product depends on participation. Friction in onboarding, activity discovery and joining a challenge could prevent people from reaching the social value of the app. The landing page also needed to communicate that value clearly to prospective teams.

What informed the work

I combined interviews with SME stakeholders, surveys of remote team members, competitor research and usability testing. Personas, problem statements and customer journey maps turned the findings into a UX strategy spanning the mobile product and its landing page.

02 / Focus

Decisions behind the experience

01

Connect onboarding to participation

Simplify the route from first use to discovering and joining activities.

Why it matters Help new users reach the product’s core value.

02

Make activities easy to navigate

Rework navigation and flows for quizzes, photo challenges and team activities.

Why it matters Support participation through a clear interaction structure.

03

Align the promise and the product

Improve the landing page hierarchy and explanation of SquadPal’s value.

Why it matters Create continuity between evaluating the product and using it.

04 / Deliver & learn

From direction to delivery

I created high-fidelity wireframes and interactive prototypes for the app and landing page, iterating through feedback and usability testing. Research plans, journey maps and user flows made the proposed direction explicit to collaborators.

What came out of the work

The delivered work includes a UX strategy, redesigned journeys and interactive activity concepts. The portfolio records positive usability feedback and easier navigation; no validated retention or participation uplift is available in the supplied material.

Product perspective

What this work shows

For an engagement product, feature availability is not enough. People need to understand the invitation, find a relevant activity and participate without unnecessary effort.
